ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source

FANTASTIC NEWS!

ProQuest has now signed an exclusive agreement with the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) to upload three types of evidence-based nursing resources into ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source at no additional cost to our subscribers!

  • JBI is a not-for-profit research and development unit of the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the University of Adelaide, Australia
  • JBI collaborates internationally with 27 centers around the world
  • JBI is created by nurses for nurses!

What does a practicing nurse say about evidence-based nursing?

"Making an evidence based decision involves a process of inquiry; knowing how to inquire, where to find guidance and how to assess evidence... The Joanna Briggs Institute has sought to address barriers to the implementation of research in practice by providing best evidence and tools to facilitate the process of inquiry, education and understanding."

Suzanne Jones - a lecturer from Northumbria University Library and Learning Services says:

"Of note is the 'Study Path' tab. Primarily for the American nurse, there are some useful references for contemporary British nursing practice. Though in its infancy, it provides a starting point for searching some topic areas."
